Doron Clark, SD60 - ELECTED

Clark stood out to nurses because of his commitment to the anti-corporatization of healthcare, stating that corporate healthcare extracts wealth from communities and harms patients. He also spoke on the importance of dignity in the workplace and was committed to working with nurses toward appropriate staffing ratios. Clark is also a major advocate for a single payer healthcare system and, during the screening, talked with nurses about how the Nurse Licensure Compact could negatively affect healthcare in our state.

David Gottfried, HD40B

Gottfried stood out to nurses because of his interest in co-governance with MNA members, stating that his door is always open to MNA and that he wants to have a relationship that is open, honest, and focused on impactful conversation. He also shared his support on staffing ratios as well as the importance of keeping the corporatization of healthcare in check. Gottfried is a union member and further supports the Minnesota Health Plan and Paid Family & Medical Leave, and committed to support MNA members in their 2025 Contract Campaign.
